Born and raised in Anniston, Alabama, I am a proud product of the Anniston City School System. I attended 10th Street Elementary School and Cobb Junior High School before graduating from Anniston High School in 1991. My educational journey continued at Gadsden Business College, where I earned my Account Specialist Diploma in 1998.

My professional career has encompassed both the telecommunications and legal fields. I began at ITC Delta Com, where I worked as a telephone operator for five years, gaining valuable communication and customer service experience. In 2002, I transitioned into the legal field, joining Stewart and Stewart, P.C. on Noble Street in Anniston as a legal secretary, a position I held with dedication until 2015. I also had the opportunity to work with local attorney William B. Hardegree, Sr., further deepening my expertise in legal administration.

As a student at Anniston High School, I was an active student-athlete and team leader, serving as the starting forward on the girls’ basketball and volleyball teams. I earned All-County recognition in basketball and also competed in track and field. Those experiences taught me teamwork, perseverance, and discipline—qualities that continue to guide me today.

Family is at the heart of who I am. I am the proud mother of three wonderful children—Brenton Tolson, Shamika Massey, and Mauriceco Massey, Jr.—all proud graduates of Anniston High School. My family continues to grow and bring joy into my life through my thirteen beautiful grandchildren— Brenton Tolson, Jr., Kendrick Bell, Mauriceo Massey III, Erica Massey, Eli Massey, Baylei Tolson, Madison Massey, Levi Massey, Evann Massey, Emyiah Massey, Eden Massey, Willow Montgomery, Ericeco Massey, my mother—Brenda Tolson-Ball, and my five siblings—Eureka Tolson, Eric Tolson, Estella Tolson, Carmen Haynes, and Teresa Bailey—remain pillars of love and support in my life.

I firmly believe in the values instilled in me from an early age: to put God first and family second. These principles continue to guide my personal and professional journey. Currently, I am pursuing a degree in Business Administration at the University of Phoenix to expand my knowledge and leadership abilities. I also remain deeply involved in my community, serving on the West Anniston Reunion Committee and as Vice President of the Anniston High School Class of 1991.

With faith, family, and perseverance as my foundation, I strive to make a positive impact on every community I serve.
