2024 Redistricting
Main Street Anniston is a designated community within the Main Street Alabama network. Together, we strive to revitalize historic communities by using the Main Street Four-Point Approach. This method leverages local assets—from cultural or architectural heritage to local enterprises and community pride—to revitalize our district. The four points of the Main Street approach work together to build a sustainable and complete community revitalization effort through Organization, Promotion, Design, and Economic Vitality. To learn more, visit our Main Street Anniston stand-alone page here.
Main Street Anniston is a division of our city’s Public Relations Department. The Public Relations Department consists of city’s public relations, our Main Street Anniston Department, and the Anniston Downtown Market.
Main Street programs are more than having great events and making downtown look better. At its core, Main Street is an economic development tool that enhances the tax base of a community, fosters entrepreneurship, builds community capacity, and creates partnerships among key groups in a community.
