The City of Anniston has plenty to choose from when it comes to finding the right park for your recreational and communal needs. Below you will find an alphabetical list of city parks along with their location and respective amenities. Click here to reserve a park or shelter. Anniston Sports Complex, 356 Summerall Gate Road Located on McClellan, this is a recreation destination that offers five lighted baseball/softball fields with restrooms and a concession area, two batting cages, a state of the art track, regulation football field, soccer complex with five fields (two are lighted) and restrooms/concession area, large picnic area with pavilion (with electrical access), duck pond with playground and gazebo, and outdoor basketball courts. These amenities surround the city’s state of the art Aquatic & Fitness Center which houses an indoor swimming area. |

Carver Park & Community Center, 720 West 14th Street The community center has a gymnasium, two meeting rooms, a computer lab and a full-size kitchen. There is also a public library attached to the center. The adjacent park has lighted outdoor basketball courts, a pavilion with electrical access and a playground. This is also the location of the new Wellness Park which features an outdoor swimming pool operational during summer months, a refurbished 1/6-mile track, pavilion, exercise stations and a lighted walking trail that connects to the new West Anniston Wellness Trail. |
Centennial Memorial Park, 1701 Quintard Avenue This park honors Alabama’s military servicemen and women who gave their lives for their nation in the wars of the 20th century. There are walls of names for World Wars I and II, Korean, Vietnam and Persian Gulf. Also in 2012, the governor signed the legislation designating Centennial Memorial Park as the “official” location of the Law Enforcement, Firefighters, Iraq and Afghanistan memorials. |
Constantine Park, 1501 Constantine Avenue This newly renovated community park has an outdoor basketball court, playground, picnic area with a pavilion, and a baseball field with covered dugouts. |
Dr. David Satcher Health & Wellness Park/Trail Two-block inner-city health trail with eight physical fitness stations. ADA accessible, night lighting. |
Gunter Park, 1308 Boyton Avenue Amenities include: Picnic Area, Basketball Court, Small Playground (limited equipment) |
Hamilton-Ballard Park, 700 Jefferson Avenue This community park has a large shelter, small soccer practice area, fenced picnic/playground area and a gravel walking track. |
John L. Dunson Park, 1915 Dooley Avenue Formerly known as Cooper Park, this park has been newly renovated and has a fenced outdoor basketball court, playground, benches and a picnic area with pavilion. |
John Nettles Park, 214 S. Christine Avenue This park has one shelter for gatherings, a covered entertainment area with electrical access, outdoor basketball court, lighted walking trail, outdoor swimming pool which is opened throughout the summer, playground, baseball field and a restroom facility with attached concession area. |
LaGarde Park, 4301 McClellan Boulevard Located in close proximity to the Anniston Museum of Natural History and Berman Museum, this is an ideal destination for educational field trips and family outings. There are two (2) shelters with restrooms, playground, a pond and walking trails for patron’s use. The future Botanical Gardens will also be accessible in the LaGarde Park area. *Reservations required for use of the shelters and restrooms. |
Lincoln Park, 901 Zinn Parkway This park has a large picnic area with two pavilions, two playground areas, volleyball area and ample parking area. This park is ideal for family reunions or community gatherings. |
Michael Tucker Park & Chief Ladiga Trail, 6514 Weaver Road Located on Weaver Road where the Ladiga Trail connection begins in Anniston, Michael Tucker Park has a bathroom with showers, picnic area with shelter and a parking area for patrons wishing to enjoy the scenic trail. A spacious cabin with fire place, meeting/sleeping area, kitchen, restrooms and recreational area is also located in the park. This is an ideal location for family gatherings and business retreats. Coming in the spring of 2015, there will be a campsite available which will feature 16 primitive camping spaces, grills, a water supply, electricity and fire ring. *Reservation is required. |

Norwood Hodges Community Center & Park, 3125 Spring Valley Road The community center has a gymnasium, three meeting rooms and a kitchen. The adjacent park has scenic walking trail, lighted tennis courts, playground and picnic area with shelter. |

Pelham Heights Park, 200 Weaver Cave Road Located on Weaver Cave Road, this park consists of a lighted softball/baseball field with dugouts and clock, picnic area with shelter, small playground, outdoor basketball court and restrooms with concession area attached. |
Randolph Park, 1906 Bancroft Avenue This park has large covered shelter with attached picnic area and restrooms, outdoor basketball court, playground, softball field. Ideal for large community or family gathering. |
Wiggins Community Center Park, 2202 West 17th Street Located adjacent to Randolph Park School and Wiggins Community Center, this park has a walking trail, picnic area, playground and pavilion. |

The Anniston Museums and Gardens are working with a consultant and stakeholder team to develop a trail network within their 79.4-acre property to complement its existing educational and recreational uses. The plan will outline how to develop this property with a walking & biking trail network including future connections to the Chief Ladiga Trail and beyond, access points, and other amenities.

The 8-acre freshwater lake and surrounding forested land, which have not been used recreationally since 1999, will now feature a peaceful half-mile walking trail, scenic 17-mile multi-use trail, rustic picnic area and bench seating by the lake.
Stocked with hundreds of large mouth bass, copperhead bluegills, and fathead minnows, Lake Yahou offers catch-and-release fishing with a $5.00 MDA fishing license. These can be purchased at the MDA office Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Though swimming is not allowed, visitors can experience the lake in their own non-motorized boat, e.g., kayak, canoe, pedal boat, etc. Park visitors are also welcomed to bring their dogs, which must remain on a leash.
Lake Yahou Park has seasonal hours, which are 6:00 AM – 7:30 PM from April to September, and 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM from October to March.
