This park honors Alabama’s military servicemen and women who gave their lives for their nation in the wars of the 20th century.  There are walls of names for World Wars I and II, Korean, Vietnam and Persian Gulf.  Also in 2012, the governor signed the legislation designating Centennial Memorial Park as the “official” location of the Law Enforcement, Firefighters, Iraq and Afghanistan memorials.
