Parks & Recreation Rentals

Below you will find information for our Parks and Recreation Department’s athletic fields, public parks, community centers and other venues that are available for rentals.

Anniston City Meeting Center 

Located at 1615 Noble Street, Anniston’s City Meeting Center provides the perfect spot for seminars, company meetings, and small conferences. The facility also offers splendid accommodations for banquets, socials, parties, receptions, and special events. The most meeting space in Calhoun County features the 13,000 sq. ft. Anniston Hall, three conference rooms with seating capacities between 100-150 people each, and the plush Victoria Room for executive meetings.

Anniston Aquatic & Fitness Center 

The Anniston Aquatic & Fitness Center features an eight-lane, 25-yard pool with a depth ranging from 4-7 feet! We offer a variety of fitness classes throughout each day, from low impact for those with arthritis to aqua groove, a dance party in the water! Swim lessons are offered at various times during the year, and the pool is also available for pool parties!

Community Centers 

Gymnasiums and Meeting Rooms are available for rent in some Community Centers. The Rental Application outlines the rules of conduct and fee schedule. The application may be completed online, printed, and submitted to the Department of Parks and Recreation for approval.

City Market 

Few venues that are as eye-catching as Anniston’s state-of-the-art, City Market, located at 126 West 11th Street! The former Anniston Auto Parts Store has undergone a transformation into the Anniston City Market, thanks to the visionary design of local architect Bill Whittaker. Situated just a block away from the Freedom Riders Monument, the Anniston City Market spans an impressive 15,850 square feet. This dynamic market complex boasts an array of features, including a stunning open-air concept, office space for Main Street Anniston, the historic façade of the Anniston Auto Parts company, a vibrant community garden, dedicated areas for food trucks and vendors, plus so much more! It will also serve as the permanent home of our beloved Downtown Market program. Public Parks 

The City of Anniston has plenty to choose from when it comes to finding the right park for your recreational and communal needs. Below you will find an alphabetical list of city parks along with their location and respective amenities. Noble Street Park

Located at the intersection of 11th Street and Noble Street (1102 Noble Street), in the heart of downtown Anniston, the Noble Street Park is the perfect spot for a beautiful outdoor event. The park features a grassy lawn, illuminated pavilion, wireless sound system, and performance stage. Rather you are raising money for a great cause, or wanting to celebrate a special occasion with your close friends, the 2023 Beautification Award winning Noble Street park is the place for you! Athletic Fields 

Anniston Sports Complex (356 Summerall Gate Road) located on McClellan, this is a recreation destination that offers five lighted baseball/softball fields with restrooms and a concession area, two batting cages, a state of the art track, regulation football field, soccer complex with five fields (two are lighted) and restrooms/concession area, large picnic area with pavilion (with electrical access), duck pond with playground and gazebo, and outdoor basketball courts.  These amenities surround the city’s state of the art Aquatic & Fitness Center which houses an indoor swimming area.

Cane Creek Grill 

Cane Creek Grill is located at the Cane Creek golf course in Anniston at McClellan. It offers a nice atmosphere for those looking for a satisfying meal, a relaxing cocktail with friends, a place to watch the game or to grab some refreshments while playing golf. Our Spring/Summer hours are from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM CT, Tuesday through Friday. On Saturdays & Sundays, we are open from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM.  

The Grill, patio and meeting room are also available for private parties and receptions. Our meeting room is adjacent to the dining room and seats from 15 to 20. It’s free if you are ordering lunch from us.

The main dining room seats approximately 100, but can accommodate more guests for standing events such as meet-and-greets or mingles with room for a DJ and dancing. The patio will accommodate 40 people and offers a beautiful view of the 18th green.

Our kitchen can do box lunches, catered buffets, passed appetizers, table service, and seated dinner. There’s no limit to our cuisine offerings! We invite all events from team banquets to reunions to wedding receptions and more. We also have a fully-stocked bar and can offer kegs as well as drinks by the glass.

Zinn Park & Unity House 

This park is located in downtown Anniston adjacent to the Justin Solohub Justice Center, and is home to the Martin Luther King Jr. Pavilion (114 West 14th Street, Anniston, AL 36201) which hosts many community events to include the Annual Model City Music Concerts.  The park also boasts an all-inclusive Americans with Disabilities Act playground, pavilions, splash pad and restrooms.  The Unity House is also located in the park on the corner of 13th Street and Moore Avenue.

Michael Tucker Park Campground 

Located on Weaver Road where the Ladiga Trail connection begins in Anniston, Michael Tucker Park has a bathroom with showers, picnic area with shelter and a parking area for patrons wishing to enjoy the scenic trail.  A spacious cabin with fire place, meeting/sleeping area, kitchen, restrooms and recreational area is also located in the park.  This is an ideal location for family gatherings and business retreats.  The area also features a campsite with 16 primitive camping spaces, grills, a water supply, electricity and fire ring (reservation is required).
