Did you know?Pickleball is now fully available at the Anniston Aquatic & Fitness Center and the Norwood Hodges Community Center!
Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country! It is a hybrid of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. The main differences between tennis and pickleball are that in pickleball, you serve underhand, the ball has less bounce, and there is a 7-foot no-volley zone, popularly called “the kitchen,” extending from the net.
Work has been completed on the Outdoor Pickleball Courts at the Norwood Hodges Community Center (3125 Spring Valley Road, Anniston, Alabama 36207) in Golden Springs! The outdoor pickleball courts are open to the public from 8:00 AM until 9:00 PM, Monday through Sunday!
The courts and equipment are available on a first come first serve basis, and we will soon be installing fencing around each of the courts as well! For more information, or to set up a tournament, please contact the Hodges Center at: 256-231-7627.
