The purpose of the Anniston City Youth Council is to:

·      Serve as liaisons to the Anniston City Council

·      Implement and participate in community initiatives

·      Prepare youth to be future civic leaders

·      Develop leadership skill and demonstrate leadership abilities by working with and in city government

Membership

To be eligible to participate on the Anniston City Youth Council, students must be of high school age (9^th – 12^th grades) and attend one of the three schools in Anniston:

• Anniston High School
• Donoho School
• Faith Christian School

Prospective members are nominated by school faculty and peers to serve on the Youth Council.
